According to the leader of Viettel Group, the unit is the largest telecommunications network provider in Vietnam and operates in many other countries. The total number of Viettel's current mobile subscribers in Vietnam is more than 60 million. Besides being a telecommunications service provider, Viettel has a lot of experience in modern technologies such as cloud computing, network security, artificial intelligence ..., as well as manufacturing defense industrial products for the military.
Currently, with its existing platform, Viettel is moving from telecommunications technology service provider to digital service. Viettel aims to be the key unit in Vietnam in the Government's goal of building a digital society by 2025.
In Dong Nai, the two sides have had many good results in cooperation, especially in the field of telecommunications. In accordance with the new development trend of society and the world, Viettel would like to continue to expand cooperation with Dong Nai in such areas as digital tradition, e-commerce, especially technology applications to build a smart city. Currently, the Group is cooperating with a number of localities throughout the country to build a smart city with the core elements produced by the group. This ensures both security and confidentiality as a state-owned enterprise while using Vietnamese technology products at affordable prices.
Chairman Cao Tien Dung welcomed Viettel Group's idea of expanding cooperation with Dong Nai, and said that the province was gradually testing and building a smart city model. In addition to Viettel, there have been many units and partners coming to Dong Nai to introduce and propose cooperation in building a smart city. Some units have also built demos for their reference. Therefore, in order to participate, Viettel must coordinate with related departments, branches and localities, including TP. Bien Hoa to develop the best quality demonstration plan. The province's point of view is that any unit with a good product, meeting the development needs, building a smart city will be assessed and selected.
