Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) officially announced the successful auction of radio frequency use rights for the 2500-2600 MHz band block within 15 years. The auction was organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications, taking place on the afternoon of March 8, 2024 with the participation of 4 telecommunications enterprises.

Băng tần 2500-2600 MHz được xem “băng tần vàng” cho việc triển khai dịch vụ 5G và cả 4G, với chi phí đầu tư thấp hơn, nên giá khởi điểm cũng cao hơn hẳn 2 khối băng tần còn lại. Sau cuộc đấu giá chiều 08/3, sẽ còn 2 cuộc đấu giá cho 2 khối băng tần còn lại trong thời gian tới.

On January 11, 2024, the Prime Minister approved the Information and Communications Infrastructure Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 of Vietnam.
