In the first 6 months of 2020, 1,088 innovative ideas (Kaizen) in all areas were registered, many of which were replicated. The total benefit value is up to VND 19 billion, reaching 126% of the whole year plan in 2020 and nearly 5 times the same period in 2019. These are impressive figures of Kaizen improvement activities of Viettel Construction's staff.
Developed from the Idea Initiative movement in early 2019, Viettel Construction is a pioneer in the Viettel Group to fully deploy Kaizen activities in all fields of business and production. Through professional training, Kaizen has become a culture, a creative habit of nearly 10,000 Viettel Construction's employees.
Kaizen is first applied in office work. Not only at the headquarters of the Corporation, all offices and warehouses from the district level nationwide are planned and renovated according to 5S standards. Even the construction sites are being applied 5S criteria.
In business and production activities, Kaizen is mapped into all 4 areas with 26 solutions that are replicated and applied in practice. The mechanism of decentralization of appraisal and commendation has been expanded to all provincial/city Viettel Construction Branches, promptly encouraged the creative spirit of employees. In addition, the appraisal process also helps leaders to understand the situation of their units, thereby taking measures to timely adjust.
Typically, during the Kaizen movement in the first six months of the year, the units with the highest number of registered solutions could be mentioned such as: Phu Tho Branch (89), Tuyen Quang Branch (87), Operation Centre (64); Operation Center is also the leading unit in terms of the number of most recognized and replicated solutions with a total benefit up to 13.3 billion dong.
With the positive results that Kaizen brings, in the last 6 months of 2020, Viettel Construction will continue to promote with the addition of new expansion targets, new value target of 10 billion VND.
