Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation (CTR code) has just released its consolidated financial statements for the second quarter of 2020 with business results growing over the same period.
Accordingly, the net revenue in the period of Viettel Works reached VND 1,305 billion, an increase of 7.7% compared to the same period last year. The slower increase in COGS helped gross profit margin improve from 4.7% to 6.4%, equivalent to gross profit of over VND 83.6 billion, up 46.7% compared to Q2/2019.
Administration expenses also increased sharply to VND 29.5 billion, more than double the same period last year. As a result, Viettel Construction before tax 59.5 billion, up 17.6% over the same period. Net profit after tax was VND 47.6 billion, up 21% compared to Quarter 2/2019.
For the first 6 months of the year, Viettel Construction recorded VND 2,686 billion of revenue and VND 98.4 billion of profit after tax, respectively increasing by 10.9% and 28.1% compared to the first 06 months of 2019. With the achieved results, the company has achieved 44.8% of the revenue plan and 49.4% of the profit target for the whole year 2020.
By the end of June, the total assets of Viettel Construction has increased by nearly 27% compared to the beginning of the year to VND 3,108 billion. The increase mainly came from short-term receivables (VND 1,274 billion) and fixed assets (VND 491 billion).
The corporation has no financial debt but the liabilities are still high at VND 2,128 billion, equivalent to 68% of total assets. In addition, Viettel Construction also accumulated nearly 334 billion dong of undistributed after-tax profit besides 48.7 billion dong of development investment fund.

With over 60.6 million outstanding shares, Viettel Construction will spend nearly 61 billion dong to pay cash dividend at the rate of 10% (01 share will receive 1,000 dong). Expected payment time is on 18/8/2020.
In addition, Viettel Construction is also expected to issue an additional 9.7 million shares (16%) to pay share dividends to shareholders, corresponding to the total value of issuance at par value of over VND 97 billion. . Capital sources are allocated from undistributed profits.
